Team Family Foundation, Team Worldwide donates to Puerto Rico

Team is supporting the Northeast Texas International Water Ministries, organized by Kathy and Harold Patterson of Scroggins, TX, who works with Just Water of Dallas and others to bring water filtration systems to hurricane victims in Puerto Rico.  The devastating results are wide-spread and urgent help is needed.  Patterson said the ministry goal is 1,000 purification systems to be sent to San Juan. We are happy to announce that the goal has been met! 

“Because there is no electricity in Puerto Rico, we’re preparing the systems here”, said Patterson. Team Family Foundation, a 501(c)3 and Team Worldwide are partnering to provide funds and transportation to the island.  The Team office in SJU will receive the goods and work with NTIWM to allow churches to pick up from Team and distribute to the families with the most urgent need. 

Each unit that is shipped will produce 38 gallons of pure water per day.  The project is estimated to cost $32,000 as each unit is $32.  Pledges in the amount of $11,768.00 have been collected to date. NTIWM, a 501(c)3, was organized to provide clean water to communities around the world.  It includes drilling water wells, water filtration systems for villages, rebuilding wells and pumps, sanitation and hygiene, and first aid classes.
